J’S Racing Low Temperature Thermo Switch

There is a close relationship between coolant/water temperature and engine performance.

When the coolant temperature reaches a certain threshold, in order to avoid possible damage, the ECU will employ some safeguards including fuel increase and retarding the ignition, both of which cause a reduction of engine power.

The purpose of this product is to help maintain the maximum horsepower by keeping the temperature of the coolant at around7580. It activates the fan at80degrees instead of 95to better utilize the high specific heat of water. This can help reducepower loss, knocking, and various negative effects from heat soak. It works well for all types of cooling systems from the stock radiator to a multi layer racing radiator.

Furthermore, by decreasing the thermo switch activation point (80) and deactivation point (75), it smoothes out the on-off operation.

Condenser fan activation at 80/176F(stock 95/203F)

Condenser fan deactivation at 75/167F(stock 90/194F)

It is recommended to use in combination with the J’S Racing Low Temp Thermostat to maximum effectiveness.

Please install to the proper tightening torque.

After installation, follow the factory recommended proceedure to bleed air from the cooling system.
